GSA

The Gender & Sexuality Alliance at Valley High School is an inclusive club that provides students with a safe place to meet, support each other, and learn about issues related to gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation. The GSA promotes an open and accepting campus for every student.  

The GSA meets on Tuesdays at lunch in E1. The room is open on Mondays and Wednesdays for students to play games, enjoy snacks, and hang out with each other. All students are welcome!

Collaborative Partnership with VHS

This is the study that VHS is a part of to help establish our GSA, Safe Zones, Health Curriculum and general school procedure when handling LGBTQ issues!

Albuquerque GSA Network 
Networking all of New Mexico's GSA organizations, the NMGSA Network provides information on local events as well as resources for the entire LGBTQ Community.
Albuquerque Under 21 Group 
Group meets every Friday @ the Albuquerque Center for Spiritual Living, on Louisiana NE. 

It Gets Better Project
Created to address the growing numbers of LGBTQ youth who commit suicide, the It Gets Better Project has a simple message: it gets better. Check out the videos, from people across the LGBT community, from average folks to celebrities.

Trevor Project
A national 24-hour, toll free confidential suicide hotline for gay and questioning youth. The Trevor Project also provides Trevor Chat and Dear Trevor (for emailed help), for youth who don't have access to a phone, or are uncomfortable speaking to someone over the phone.

GLBT National Help Center
Another 24 hour support line for LGBTQ youth, also provides a search for resources in your area.

NM Transgender Resource Center
Designed to serve the trans gender community in New Mexico, providing advocacy, education, assistance, and support. Provides a variety of resources and a massive amount of information and help.

Albuquerque PFLAG
PFLAG stands for Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, is a group designed to empower and assist the LGBTQ community and their families and friends. Meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month @ the First Congregational Church, 2801 Lomas Blvd NE.

Amplify Your Voice: Youth Resource
Web site created by and for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning young people 13 to 24 years old, takes a holistic approach to sexual health by offering support, community, resources, and peer-to-peer education about issues of concern to GLBTQ young people. YouthResource has four focus areas: health, advocacy, community, and issues in our lives.

GLSEN

 (Pronounced "glisten") Founded in 1990 by a small, but dedicated group of teachers in Massachusetts who came together to improve an education system that too frequently allows its lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) students to be bullied, discriminated against, or fall through the cracks.

Truman Health Center

Our center specializes in the management of HIV. Primary care is proud to offer the following services of HIV Intervention, physical symptom resolution, sexually transmitted infection screenings, preventative care and medication adherence.
