1.  Date to announce; 1-10, 11:  Seniors listen up! There will be a Senior Parent Graduation Meeting next Monday, January 14th at 6:30pm in the PAC. Your parent and you will receive important information for the month of May and college representatives will also be in attendance.


2.  Date to announce; 1-10, 11:  Students, you MUST have your Student Parking Permit displayed on your mirror to park at Valley. Cars without a permit will not be allowed to park in the lot. Those without a permit will be booted and/or towed at the owner’s expense. So, purchase your permit from Mrs. Vargas in the Front Office.


3.  Date to announce; 1-10, 11:  All students signed up for Defensive Driving 2nd semester, class will begin on Tuesday, January 22nd, after school in the Lecture Hall.  If you have any question see Coach Montoya in the Gym. 


4.  Date to announce; 1-8, 9, 10:  Attention Upperclassmen: Upward Bound will be taking Juniors and Senior students to UNM on January 24th. You will tour the campus, talk to UNM representatives, and learn about army and ROTC opportunities. It is an all day event. If you are interested, visit the Upward Bound Classroom C5-B this week through Thursday to sign up! Spots are limited so reserve your spot today!


5.  Date to announce; 1-10, 11, 14:  Need to make up a credit? Sign up with your Counselor to register for eCademy online courses or Valley After school credit recovery. 


6.  Date to announce; 1-10, 11, 14:  There will be a brief meeting for all athletes Interested in track n field on Monday January 14th during lunch in the gym lobby.


7.  Date to announce; 1-10, 11, 14:  Bookworks will host an evening with YA author Kiersten White on Monday, January 14 at 6:00 PM. Her new book is Slayer, which she will discuss along with other popular works. Bookworks will have all of her books available for purchase and signing. Feel free to bring your own copies as well!


Starting Monday, the 14th there will be a change to the traffic flow in the Drop Off/Pick Up lanes in the front parking lot. The only 2 lanes cars can drive through loop around the front of the parking lot. The gate allowing cars through the Visitor Parking/Staff Parking area will be closed. Please make sure you arrive early to compensate for the new traffic flow.
