Our program is dedicated to developing confident, disciplined, and passionate student-athletes who proudly represent Valley High School through dance, leadership, school spirit, and community involvement. We strive to create a positive and supportive environment where every dancer is challenged to grow both on and off the dance floor.

Our Mission

The mission of the Valley Vikette's Dance Team is to inspire excellence through teamwork, integrity, dedication, and sportsmanship. We are committed to developing strong leaders, promoting school pride, and encouraging personal growth while representing Valley High School with professionalism and respect.

About the Vikette's

The Valley Vikette's perform throughout the school year at all varsity games, pep assemblies, community events, and dance competitions.

Our dancers are expected to uphold high standards of character, academic achievement, commitment, and sportsmanship while serving as ambassadors for Valley High School.

What We Do

Throughout the season, the Vikette's participate in:

• All Varsity game performances

• Pep rallies and school assemblies

• Local and state dance competitions

• Summer dance camp

• Community service projects

• School and community events

• Team fundraising activities

Tryout Information

Tryouts for the Valley Vikette's are held each spring for the upcoming school year.

Prospective dancers can expect:

• Tryout clinics

• Technique evaluation

• Choreography instruction

• Performance evaluation

• Team placement

Information regarding clinic dates, eligibility requirements, required paperwork, and tryout packets will be posted prior to each tryout season.

Tryout Requirements

Every athlete will need the following to tryout:

• *DragonFly Max Account
• All Forms Completed in DragonFly
• Semester GPA of 2.0 or higher with NO F's
• *Current NMAA/APS Physical uploaded into Dragonfly and approved.
• ** Grade Checks Every 3 Weeks
• Concussion for Students  
  • Course certificate uploaded into dragonfly.
